Knowledge Innovation Agora
The KLIC Knowledge Innovation Agora (KIA) is a recurring online event series. Each session brings together health innovators, country implementation teams, donors, and technical partners for structured live knowledge exchange — open, multilingual, and action-oriented.
What is a KIA?
KIA stands for Knowledge Innovation Agora — the mechanism that sustains the KLIC movement beyond each cycle. KIAs allow countries and partners to share progress, obstacles, adjustments and learning from implementation after each cycle closes.
Each KIA session is a structured online event held across the KLIC community. Country teams share their operational realities and current situation — including how they conduct innovation at their level, what constraints they face, and what adaptations they are making. Partners engage directly with challenges from the field. KIAs connect peer learning, accountability, and continuous adaptation — keeping frontline and community realities visible at the centre of every conversation. Sessions are held in English and French and are recorded for open access.
Each KIA is held as a live Zoom event, open to the full KLIC community and invited guests.
Sessions are delivered bilingually. Presentations and resources are available in both English and French.
All session presentations are published openly for download. Recordings are available where consent was given.

Synthesises the Cotonou KLIC Innovation Lab: 95 participants, 14 EPI directors, 7 hackathon prototypes, and the 2025 roadmap. Countries are ready to lead innovation given the right platform and peer network.
Focuses on reaching zero-dose children in conflict zones and remote areas — Mali's conflict-zone strategy, DRC drone logistics, Benin's VacciForm platform, and AI as a health workforce multiplier.
Addresses the under-financed crisis of biomedical waste from vaccination — sharps, plastics, cold chain emissions and toxic disposal. Positions waste management as a public health and financing issue to integrate into Gavi FPPs.
Examines the data quality and leadership capacity gap in EPI programmes, introducing a three-layer response: data quality reform, collaborative intelligence platforms, and practical AI tools for programme managers.
Reframes smart health centres as learning systems, not technology installations — exploring smart facilities, telemedicine, hybrid clinics and differentiated service delivery to extend access and improve equity.
Introduces national equity intelligence systems to make zero-dose children visible and reachable — covering fragmented data, AI bias, community trust, and VaxyReach as an applied equity intelligence tool.
Continuation of the equity intelligence theme — deepening the national equity intelligence system framework, AI bias safeguards, community trust-building, and VaxyReach deployment perspectives from country teams.
Positions digital micro-planning as the operational infrastructure of vaccine equity — drawing on Nigeria's LMIS, Vietnam's NIIS, Benin's GaneshAID experience and DRC's community participation perspective.
Connects climate change, cold chain resilience and vaccine equity — showcasing solar PQS equipment, modular health infrastructure, and Senegal's EWAS dengue early warning system as resilience-by-design examples.
Focuses on the shift from one-off training to continuous performance coaching — linking Gavi 6.0's workforce strategy with GaneshAID's C2P platform and the launch of Country Clinics as implementation spaces.
Addresses the global health financing contraction, USAID closure effects, domestic resource mobilisation, Nepal's Immunization Act, Guinea's malaria financing response, and the Gavi 6.0 self-reliance agenda.
