About the Movement
KLIC is not an event. It is a continuous knowledge and execution platform built around Health Justice, country leadership, and responsible innovation.
Our Mission
Innovation must support country leadership, strengthen systems, protect communities, and create fairer access to essential health services.
KLIC was created to solve a persistent problem in global health: innovation is abundant, but execution is fragmented. Countries are not short of tools, platforms, or expertise — they are short of structured pathways to turn available evidence, financing and technical support into decisions that health systems can actually govern, implement and sustain. KLIC exists to build those pathways through structured, time-bound, accountability-driven cycles that put Ministries of Health at the centre. Each cycle follows a disciplined arc — Understand, Diagnose, Create, Commit — producing implementation pledges that country teams can act on within 30–60 days using existing authority, staff and systems.
Countries own the agenda. KLIC provides the structure, partners provide the resources, and ministries lead.
KLIC is not a one-off conference. Each cycle builds on the previous — creating institutional memory and living documentation.
Every output — every lab book, every KIA, every execution pathway — is evaluated against its contribution to Health Justice.
What KLIC Is
Understanding what KLIC is — and what it is not — is fundamental to engaging with the movement effectively.
Institutional Identity
KLIC — Knowledge Lab for the Innovation Community — is a legally registered Organisation Non Gouvernementale (ONG) in Bénin, operating across Africa, MENA, Asia and Latin America in partnership with Ministries of Health, donors, technical agencies, innovators and community actors.
Founding partner of KLIC. GaneshAID co-created the movement and provides strategic and operational support for coordination, community building, partnerships, knowledge stewardship, and ecosystem mobilisation.
National health authorities from countries across Africa, Asia, MENA, and Latin America who define lab priorities and lead country execution tracks.
Bilateral donors, foundations, multilateral agencies, and technical organisations that co-design KLIC cycles and contribute expertise and resources to lab execution.
Our Values
Every decision — who participates, what we study, what we recommend — is anchored to equity and fairer access to health.
Countries set the agenda. External partners align behind national priorities, not the other way around.
Innovation is not neutral. We evaluate solutions against country readiness, ethical standards, and long-term system sustainability.
KLIC labs produce lab books with named owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes — not presentations that disappear after the event.
